In May of 2005, the Prairie Land Regional Division #25, in cooperation with Alberta Learning, commissioned a study to review how “best” to use our current facilities. The final report, entitled the Divisional Utilization Plan, prepared by the Simera Strategy Group was presented to the School Board in May 2006. A summary of the Utilization Plan Scenarios and Recommendations was also prepared, and work is beginning on determining how the jurisdiction will move forward into the future. In the document Utilization Plan - Moving Forward, the most recent step in the process, the impact on Delia and J. C Charyk schools of various scenarios is discussed, as well as the manner in which this process will proceed overall.
Critical to the success of this process is input from residents of Prairie Land Regional Division on a number of key issues. In an effort to facilitate that discussion, this site has been created. If you have a specific interest in the future of education in this jurisdiction, please login (you will have to create an account the first time you visit) and provide your feedback. Once reviewed by forum moderators, your feedback will be available to other visitors to foster further discussion. You do not have to provide your real name, but your email address must be valid.
Working together, we can continue to serve the children of this division by providing an education system that works.
